The Bazkatz perform with commitment and passion for what they do – something which will turn your event into something out of the ordinary.
The Katz are generally:- Barry Sutton on drums/percussion/vocals/harmonica, Sam Pace on keyboards/accordion/vocals, Joe Howman on Trumpet/Vocals, Dan Ford on Sax, Wayne Moore on trombone/vocals, Dan Ford on Sax, Phil Jack and Bryan Pearson on Acoustic Bass/Electric Bass, Greg Stroud on Guitar/Banjo, + more.
The Bazkatz play in various configurations – Duo to 6-piece band. We can also operate as a roving band – including accordion, trombone, sax, cocktail snare drum, banjo and more.
The Bazkatz are a mix of some of Brisbane’s legendary and still swingin’ musicians. These guys have been entertaining with Jazz for many years and bring their special blend of experience and love for the music they play to their audience.
There are always musicians available to cover any jazz-orientated gig. The Bazkatz are named after our drummer, Barry Sutton. Barry has had a fabulous career as a drummer and Latin Percussionist in Australia and overseas, with the likes of Bette Midler, Billy Preston, Trini Lopez, Sammy Davis Jnr and others.
