KATHY SANDER (Piano) Kathy grew up in Toowoomba and studied piano with Brachi Tilles, violin with Spiros Rantos - followed by a degree in Accompaniment and Chamber Music with Stephen McIntyre and Roy Shepherd at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. Currently working as a freelance pianist & keyboardist in Brisbane -  at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University - teaching and accompanying at Brisbane Grammar School & Brisbane Girls' Grammar School. Memorable performances have been on the Vatican Organ and as pianist for a master class with legendary violinist Maxim Vengerov. Extensive contemporary work highlights include shows with - Frank Sinatra - Liberace - Dionne Warwick - Grace Knight. Kathy has enjoyed working in the commercial music scene both as MD and as a performer with many years spent in Latin and Jazz bands. Kathy has performed in the theatre pit - latest shows have been "Dusty"  "Miss Saigon" and "Phantom of the Opera" and "Mamma Mia", been pianist for the Queensland Pops Orchestra, and enjoyed performing with "Topology", and the "Fine Arts Trio. At this point concentrating on her piano and bass duo, “Amica Jazz Duo” swing & covers band “The Mood Music Band", the "Mood Music Piano Trio" and larger Ensemble.  Alway up for re-invention - now working on building a contemporary repertoire to suit the Mood Music Musicians.
